Buckley Rue is an author, activist and public speaker surrounding the subjects of Revolutionary Theory, Psychedelics, Hermeticism and more. He has a degree in Religious Studies from UT Austin, and is the founder of the UT chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Austin chapter of Extinction Rebellion. He has interviewed artists from Clozee, to Desert Dwellers, to Android Jones. His debut novel 'Afterlife' was published in 2019 and 2023 will see his forthcoming novel titled 'The Titan'.

On the final episode of Season 4 Matt is joined by James McCrae. James is an author, poet, meme artist, and creative strategist based in Austin, Texas. In his writing and art, he applies the principles of mindfulness and Eastern philosophy to modern life with humor and candor. He is the author of two books: Sh#t Your Ego Says, an autobiographical guidebook for quieting negative self-talk and reconnecting with intuition, and How to Laugh in Ironic Amusement During Your Existential Crisis, a book of poetry and memes about leaving your comfort zone to embrace the unknown. On his popular Instagram page (@wordsarevibrations) James shares daily memes, poems, and illustrations that delight and inspire his audience. He also hosts Words Are Vibrations, a podcast that explores the intersection of creativity, consciousness, and culture.

On this episode Matt is joined by Visionary Artist, Charlie Potesky. Charlie is currently based in Denver, though he recently moved from Austin, where he and Matt met at several events. Charlie creates immersive, colorful, and psychedelic paintings inspired by his experiences with plant medicines like cannabis, mushrooms and DMT (The Spirit Molecule). Additionally he paints stunningly accurate portraits of comedians and icons from psychedelic culture, both past and current, like Terence McKenna, Mike Tyson, Duncan Trussell and many more.
During the podcast we learn about how Charlie began creating art, and why he prefers paint on canvas over creating images digitally. The two then riff on trippy and mind-stimulating topics like simulation theory, infinite consciousness, remote viewing, dreams, archetypes, the great mystery of existence and beyond.
