On this episode Matt is joined by Hakan Hisim. Hakan is a visionary artist who is inspired by trans-dimensional linguistics, esoteric literature, the occult, out-of-body experiences, dimensional travel and the akashic records. Hakan recently completed his magnum opus, The Universal Transmissions Codex, which is a collection of his many visionary works exploring xenolinguistics (extraterrestrial language) and the glyphs, shapes and symbols that psychonauts often report seeing during experiences with entheogens.
During the conversation the two discuss how Hakan began as an artist and the mind-blowing experiences that inspired him to begin creating. They then dive into their respective experiences with the spirit molecule, DMT, and whether or not the compound can be produced endogenously. The two then discuss Hakan's experience of Samadhi, Kundalini Awakening, MXE (an extremely rare psychedelic dissociative) and of course The Universal Transmissions Codex, which is available now in limited quantities. On this episode Matt is joined by Matt Edwards, better known as Watashi. Watashi is a musician, songwriter, producer and DJ currently based in Austin, Texas. Inspired by his experiences growing up in Japan, his music features an array of Eastern textures as well as ethnic instruments from cultures across the globe. To Watashi, genres are only restraints on creative sonic expression - and composing uplifting, thought provoking music that pushes boundaries & resonates universally is the essence of his existence. After a profound mystical experience in 2021, the Watashi project was born with the mission of ‘creating spiritual experiences through sound.’

On this episode Matt is joined once again by Michael Phillip, who is a writer, video creator and host of the podcast Third Eye Drops. Michael has released and appeared on hundreds of podcast episodes, melding minds with a wide range of multidisciplinary experts including scientists, artists, philosophers, spiritual teachers, bestselling authors, and viral personalities. He also hosts a YouTube channel where he ‘wonderdips’ into mind melting topics like Jungian Psychology, Psychedelics and Consciousness.
During the conversation Matt and Michael discuss the topic of Platonism, loosely defined as "the philosophy of Plato stressing especially that actual things are copies of transcendent ideas and that these ideas are the objects of true knowledge apprehended by reminiscence." We learn how Michael took an interest in this branch of philosophy, and who Plato, Plotinus, and Porphyry were, and how they contributed to Platonism and Neo-Platonism. The purpose of this conversation is to break down this highly dense subject into digestible bits in layman's terms, as much of the content available online about Platonism is highly academic and a bit tough to fully grasp. On this episode Matt sits down with Dhruv Singh Khalsa. Dhruv (RYT-500 eRYT-200) has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for a decade + after coming to the practice in 2010. He received his first 200hr certification in 2012 from Yoga-Yoga in Austin TX where he was taught by Mehtab & Gurukaram Benton, and Siri Bahadur Singh Khalsa. He has gone on to achieve training in Vedic Astrology, Sound Therapy, and Ayurveda. He has spent the last 10 years sharing the transformative teachings of yoga and building conscious communities. Dhruv is part of the Teacher Training faculty of multiple local training programs and specializes in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, yoga philosophy and esoteric anatomy. He is currently an undergraduate at Maharishi International University studying to earn a BA in Ayurvedic Wellness and Integrative Health. He is an initiated Amrit Dhari Sikh and active member of the Phoenix Sikh Sangat.
During the conversation Matt and Dhruv share their respective stories of learning about Sikhism and it's founder, Guru Nanak. They discuss the beliefs of the Sikh path (Ek Onkar - The Creator and the Creation are One), the history of Sikhism, the teachings of Guru Nanak, the hymns (mantras) of the Guru, becoming a Sikh in America, and the link between Kundalini Yoga and Sikhism and how the communities may be able to intermingle responsibly and with respect + more. On this episode Matt sits down once again with Erick Godsey. Erick earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in 2012. His postgraduate study included Evolutionary, Behavioral, and Jungian Psychology. He's the host of The Myths That Make Us podcast, and one of the founding coaches of Fit For Service, specializing in helping people understand and cultivate their psyches.
During the conversation Matt and Erick share the story of the recent sweat lodge (Temazcal) experience they shared. The two then dive into the topic of ceremony, particularly with 3 different psychedelic medicines: Cannabis, MDMA & Ketamine. They discuss their initial experiences with each medicine, their general effects, and the benefits and risks involved with each. They then continue onto the topics of Enlightenment and Immortality - what the terms mean, and whether or not they are possible to achieve, and if so, how. For the finale of Season 5, Matt is joined by GLO. Singer, Songwriter and Producer GLO is known for her creative melodies, angelic harmonies and powerful vocal mantras. Introduced to poetry in her high school English class and activated to sing through her time in church, she brings a dynamic range of experience and influence into every song. Born & raised in the Bay Area and growing up in SoCal has influenced her diverse musical expression. Her music fuses and draws inspiration from the many musical styles that influenced her throughout her life. From rap & hip-hop to jazz or EDM she finds her excitement in the spark of flow & feeling rather than any specific structure or methodology.
Now based in Austin, she is working on her first self-produced album, set to release this fall, and is also co-producing community events, like Ecstatic Bass & Sound Healing, with her family through the collective ‘The Sound Of Sacred’.
During the conversation GLO shares her story of coming to singing, producing music and co-founding her collective, The Sound Of Sacred.
