David Redish is an Integration Coach specializing in psychedelic and peak experiences, drawing from a decade of personal exploration in expanded states of consciousness and rites of passage ceremonies. He is currently receiving a Masters Degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. David's passion has evolved into a fulfilling career guiding others on their transformative journeys.
David’s coaching style, rooted in contemplative practices, emphasizes personal growth. Utilizing meditation, movement practices, breathwork, somatic awareness, and Internal Family Systems informed parts-work, David facilitates lasting integration and changes in his clients' lives. He believes in empowering individuals to recognize their innate power for self-healing, emphasizing that true healing comes from within.
During the conversation David shares the story of leaving the filmmaking world to study Psychology, Therapy & Psychedelic Integration. The two discuss the challenges of entrepreneurship and the artist's path, and how therapy can be utilized to maintain homeostasis. On this episode of Xian Archive Matt sits down with Siri Bahadur Khalsa. Siri has taught yoga using pranayama, kriyas, mantra, meditation and sound therapy to thousands of students over the last three decades in Texas. A long time practitioner of Kundalini Yoga, his practice has developed into a style known as “Yoga in the Garden of Shuniya”, where he directs the focus of the practice on the employment of Shuniya, also known as accessing the Zero Point Field. He also uses mantra and live music for an experience of Sacred Sound as an access to healing energy for the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

On this episode Matt sits down with Timofey “Tima” Trofimenkov. Tima is an entrepreneur, an artist and an apprentice of Shipibo medicine path. Native to a small arctic village in northern Kamchatka peninsula, Russia. Growing up, Tima lived mostly off the resources of the land, fostering a profound bond with nature. In his formative years, nature not only supplied food and medicine but also became an integral part of his being, inspiration and source of wonder and freedom.
In subsequent years, after an extended period as a student, Tima experienced urban life in New York City before eventually relocating to San Antonio, TX. Over the past decade spent in San Antonio, he has not only established several companies but has also resided and conducted his creative endeavors at Studio 111, his art gallery and multimedia art space. While active within the flourishing art community of San Antonio, Tima applied his knowledge in herbal medicine to launch Element Kombucha, a pioneering beverage company in the region.
Concurrently with his work in Texas, 11 years ago he embarked on the journey with sacred Ayahuasca medicine in the jungles of Peru. Frequently visiting Peruvian jungles over the years he developed a profound appreciation for Shipibo healing traditions. Over the years through sacred plant dieting and myriads of ceremonies he grew his relationships with his teachers, Shipibo maestros of medicine, subsequently becoming apprentice to their medicine. He is a part of the community at Caya Shobo Healing Center in Iquitos, Peru where you can find him frequently helping with group facilitations while maintaining a parallel focus on ongoing learning, plant dieting and cultivation of his medicine.
During the conversation Tima shares the story of founding Element Kombucha, and how his passion for the herbal tea began. The two then dive into his initial experiences with Ayahuasca that lead him to take on the medicine path and begin dieting plants regularly, also called 'dieta'. Matt asks several questions to clarify what dieta consists of, and how it is performed. They also touch on the light and dark sides of cannabis, tobacco and shamanism generally. On this episode Matt sits down with B. Louis. B. Louis is a singer/songwriter and sound healer whose mission is to share and channel his voice to the world. Healing music became his mission when he realized the healing effects people were having just in one session, with a combination of his own exploration with sacred plant medicines. He believes that by combining intentional music with meditation and self-reflection, we can begin the healing process with our own willingness to simply go within. B. uses several instruments while singing/channeling his voice to create a safe container to go on an inward journey.
During the conversation B. Louis shares his experience with coming to the spiritual path through his ayahausca ceremonies, and his initial experience with sound healing that sparked his interest in taking up the practice himself with his twin brother, Anthony, who are known collectively as Cloud People. He also shares how his journey with music began, and how he started singing, first in bands, and currently in healing music and electronic / bass music. On this episode Matt sits down with Hamilton Morris. Hamilton is an American journalist, documentarian, and scientific researcher. He is the creator and director of the television series Hamilton's Pharmacopeia, in which he investigates the chemistry, history, and cultural impact of various psychoactive drugs. Morris frequently consults with media on the subject of psychoactive drugs and conducts pharmacological research at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia with an emphasis on the synthesis and history of dissociative anesthetics.
During the conversation the two discuss their fascination with psychedelics and their respective views on the experiences they elicit. After landing on the topic of Ketamine and how it's use has become more and more common in the psychedelic community, the two dive into a friendly debate on spirituality vs. materialism. While both Matt and Hamilton have explored the use of psychoactive molecules that have a tendency for creating out-of-body or "spiritual" experiences, the two have fundamentally differing views on what is occurring during these experiences. The conversation that ensues is nothing less than one of the best exchanges on the podcast to date. On this episode Matt sits down with Gurudhan Khalsa. Gurudhan has been practicing and teaching Kundalini yoga since 1971. Based in Austin since 2013, Gurudhan has taught yoga in major cities like New York City from 1971 to 1997 and in Los Angeles from 1998 to 2012. His emphasis is placed on explaining the physiological effects of Kundalini energy based on ancient Chinese traditional energy meridian lines and points as well as how breath technology effects our nerves and glands. His Kundalini classes provide a strong physical workout, an opportunity to “deep relax” afterward, and a meditation at the end of class to elevate the soul.
During the conversation the two discuss how Gurudhan came to Kundalini Yoga after fully participating in the counter-culture of the 60s and 70s. They get into how the technology of Kundalini works on the body, mind and soul and how it can give us mystical and out-of-body experiences. The two then dive into the yogic perspective on psychedelics, and when using them may be appropriate. They explore the healing path - what it means to heal in the modern era - and as well how to express our dharma in the world without getting caught up in the ego.
